Dear Seller,

Acme Publishing is pleased to present our annual (fall, spring, summer, winter ) remainder bid list. All bids are due by, Tuesday, December 31st, 2006 and must be submitted by email to Bargain Book Bids by that date. We have attached a spreadsheet listing all of the books to be remaindered. The list is hyperlinked to Amazon.com enabling you to see the title. We have also included the title, author, type, retail price, and quantity on hand. The books will be shipped from Anytown, Ohio and will be FOB from that warehouse. Buyer will pay the shipping. Responsibility for shipping arrangements rest with the buyer unless otherwise stipulated. Should you wish for Acme to provide a competitive quote we will be happy to do so. Our terms are net 30 days.

Bids should be for the entire list of books. There will not be a topping round.

Sample Letter 2

Dear Seller,

Attached is a remainder list for Acme Publishing Company. We are seeking bids for the entire listing of books. Although we will entertain bids for individual titles please note that bids for the entire list will take precedence. The spreadsheet will have ample information about the individual titles with hyperlinks to websites that will picture the title and provide additional information. Therefore, sample copies of individual titles will not be sent to bidders. All bids are due by Monday January 30th and must be returned by email to Bargain Book Bids no later than that date.

 

The quantities listed on the bid sheet are approximates and may differ from the number of books that were bid on. If the number being shipped is more than 10% of what was stated on the bid sheet you will be notified in advance of shipping the product. All awards are subject to credit approval and our terms are net 30 days, FOB, our warehouse or warehouses. Please indicate in writing, by fax or email where you would like the product shipped with a complete address and designated carrier. If you would like for us to obtain a competitive bid we will be happy to do so. Blind shipments and drop shipments to multiple locations will incur additional freight charges.

There will be a topping (see topping explanation tab) round associated with the bid process. Topping will be allowed if current bid is within 5% of current high bid. Each bidder matching this criterion will be allowed one round of topping.

The books being offered for bid are remainders but are not guaranteed to be in mint condition and will have remainder marking on the books.
