 The Bargain Book Bid process is divided into two categories: small lists, incorporating Micro and Small Publishers and large lists which will include Medium to Large Publishers. However, and more importantly, the size of the actual list will typically determine which way to distribute the bid list.

 Micro and Small Publisher Program

The term micro publisher is typically synonymous with independent publishers who may have a book or two that they wish to reduce inventory on in order to move on to another project. Small publishers may have anywhere from 10 to 100 titles that they would like to liquidate. We would recommend that a publisher desiring to move less than 10,000 books should list their books under the Micro and Small Publisher program. Under this program your product would be listed on Bargain Book News for one month (2 issues) or until the product sells. The product would also be listed on the Bargain Book Bids site as well, under the ‘Bids in Progress’ tab. The cost for this program is ----$250.00 for up to 5 books, $300.00 for 6-10, $350.00 for 11-15, $400.00 for 16-24 and $500.00 for 25 and above.

Medium to Large Press Program

Larger presses will be handled through our customized bid process.  The publishers bid list will also be linked from Bargain Book News to the Bargain Book Bids website. Customized bid lists should be reserved for lists totaling a minimum of 10,000 books and can be hundreds of thousands of books.  Bargain Book Bids will charge a standard fee of 10% of total sales.

The lists will be sent out electronically as an email with an attachment listing the books in a spreadsheet or data base format. Typically the information should be the book title, isbn number, hyperlink to Amazon, B & N, or your website where a picture and a description of the book can viewed, author, retail price, format, condition (remainder, return, hardback, trade paper, mass market, coffee table, size of the book, inventory (quantity on hand) and a column for a bid. You should also include where product is shipping from. The charge for this program is 10% of the bid with a minimum of $500.00.
